Couture is a young bootstrapped Japan based startup with global ambitions. We have self-funded for roughly 1 year while building the product and are now raising a seed round. Japan is still the world’s second largest advertising market at $62bn, yet less than %20 is spent on digital marketing. Influencer marketing is exploding globally but delivering a message and effectively reaching consumers is still a deeply local affair. We are at the crossroads of being a marketplace connecting people, an analytics tool and a multi-lingual content management platform. We work with both global and local consumer and luxury brands, advertising and marketing agencies seeking social influencers to promote products & branded content or participate in events and castings.
We connect global brands with local influencers through our unique platform which simplifies & democratizes campaign involvement for influencers and streamlines identification and performance measurement for brands. We bring the power of multilingual search and analytics to local word of mouth and aim to revolutionize the traditional agency model of handpicking social celebrities by optimizing workflow, ROI, measurability and predictability of influencer endorsement.
We are currently testing beta versions of a suite of B2B products (a hybrid mobile app for influencers & web app for brands, agencies and talent managers) which we need to take to the next level. We are looking for smart, independent, detail oriented techie who can “think like a user” and understands what quality tested code means.
Our vision is that it should be as easy to build a global digital marketing strategy for any brand as it is to set up an e-commerce platform. We believe that working with native speakers of a target language consumer segment is the most effective way of increasing brand awareness and sales. Couture is planning to expand in other Asian countries, Europe and LATAM.
Couture should become the go-to platform for any SMB, online shop to promote products through people who like their stuff and measure conversions. We have the basic building blocks in place, the next step is to grow the user base, aggressively sell and further develop our robust API for integration with large e-commerce marketplaces and MarTech platforms.
