We are searching for an ambitious and well-connected Business Development Associate for our
partnership activities in Japan. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated entrepreneurial
individual with experience in entertainment partnerships and sponsorships to define the partnership
strategy and execute it in Japan. This role provides an opportunity to engage with the top brands in
sports and music in Japan.
Increase both quantity and quality of partnerships for all entertainment events across Japan.
Identifying and building relationships with key music and sports brands.
High level of warm and cold outbound activity (via phone, email, face to face meetings and
Pitching the Ticketbis brand and service to potential partners and clients and negotiating
agreements towards a fair and mutually beneficial partnership to benefit partner and the end
Building a large and solid base of long-term partnerships
Able to evaluate the success of a partnership, the value to the business and the partner
At least 3-5 years in a business development or sales role in a similar capacity- ideally within
sponsorships, media, e-commerce or entertainment although other backgrounds will be
A bachelor ́s degree in business, finance, marketing, communications or similar
Existing relationships with decision makers within sports and/or music industry is desirable.
Native Japanese, Fluent in English, other languages from the region are a plus.
The ideal candidate should:
Be highly organized, splitting time fairly amongst each country as necessary with regards to
Have excellent communications skills, comfortable pitching and negotiating effectively to all
levels, including C-level individuals
Be ambitious, persistent and demonstrate first-class sales skills
Be a hands-on individual, work autonomously and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and
responsibility over their markets and partnerships
Be able to understand and analyze data
Exercise flexibility regarding the nature of the entertainment industry ́s business hours
Salary based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications
